EU REACH has added to 240 items for highly concerned substance SVHC list

At the request of the European Commission, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has defined six substances of very high concern (SVHCs), including 2,4,6-tert-butylphenol and UV absorbers UV-326 and UV-329 (with DBP only adding hazardous properties, not new additions), as SVHCs. At this point, the candidate list of substances of high concern (SVHC) for authorization includes a total of 240 substances. Update details of SVHC list:

1. Substance name: 2,4,6-tri-tertbutylphenol (2,4,6-tTBP) tert butylphenol antioxidant CAS number: 732-26-3. Listed as SVHC factor: reproductive toxicity, PBT, vPvB. Common uses: for enterprises or professionals, as fuel additives and compound fuels. 2. Substance name: Bummetrizone UV absorber UV-326 CAS number: 3896-11-5, listed as SVHC factor: vPvB. Common uses: as a mixture, used in coatings, adhesives, sealants, printing inks, polishing agents, wax mixtures, textile dyes, finishing and impregnation products. For washing and cleaning products, fillers, putty, gypsum, modeling clay, cosmetics, perfume, air care products, biological killing products, photochemical products, metal and non-metallic surface treatment.3. Substance Name: 2- (2H-benzotriazol-2-yl) -4- (1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl) phenol UV Absorbent UV-329CAS Number: 3147-75-9 Listed as SVHC Factor: vPvB Common Use: This substance is used in air care products, coating products, adhesives and sealants, lubricants and greases, polishing agents and waxes, and cleaning products. Indoor cleaning solutions and detergents, car care products, paints and coatings or adhesives, fragrances and air fresheners. 4. Substance Name: 2- (dimethylamino) -2- [(4-methylphenyl) methyl] -1- [4- (morpholin-4-yl) phenyl] butan-1-one Photoinitiator 379CAS Number: 119344-86-4 Listed as SVHC Factor: Reproductive Toxicity Common Use: This substance is used as a photoinitiator in UV ink; Used for industrial applications of coatings and inks. It can also serve as a medium for printing and reproduction on ink and toner. 5. Substance name: Oligomerisation and alkylation reaction products of 2-phenylpropene and phenol (OAPP)2- The oligomerization and alkylation reaction products of phenylpropene and phenol are listed as SVHC factors: vPvB Common uses: for adhesives and sealants, coating products, fillers, putty, plaster, clay models, inks, toners, and polymers. Used indoors as machine wash and detergent, car care products, paints and coatings or adhesives, fragrances and air fresheners. Outdoor use for metal, wood, and plastic construction and building materials. 6. Substance Name: Dibutyl phthalate DBPCAS Number: 84-74-2 Listed as SVHC Factor: Endocrine Disruption Environmental Common Usage: PVC Product: DBP is usually added to PVC to increase its flexibility and durability. DBP can be used as a plasticizer for adhesives to improve their performance and adhesion. DBP can be used in certain types of inks to enhance their fluidity and printing properties.
